The launch meeting for the revision of the electronics industry standard “Application Guide for RFID Technology in Warehousing Operations” was held at Shanghai Techsun Micro-Nano Technology Co., Ltd.
The meeting brought together 30 representatives from 22 organizations, including the China Electronics Standardization Institute (CESI), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fenjiu Group, the Logistics Department of Fenjiu, Xi’an University of Posts and Telecommunications, Gosuncn SmartLink Technology Co., Ltd., Tianjin Kunpeng Information Technology Co., Ltd., T-Head Semiconductor Co., Ltd., and HDSC Technology Co., Ltd. The launch meeting was presided over by Geng Li, Deputy Director of the Sensing Technology Office at CESI.
Ms. Xu Linyihui, Chief Executive Officer of Techsun, delivered a welcome speech. She extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the experts from CESI, specially invited guests, and organizational representatives for their presence. Ms. Xu Linyihui pointed out that this meeting holds significant importance for promoting the development of relevant industries in China and enhancing product quality and technological levels. Techsun had previously led the development of the 2016 version of the “Application Guide for RFID Technology in Warehousing Operations.” Since its release, this standard has played a positive role in advancing the application of RFID technology in warehousing operations in China, and Techsun is honored to once again lead the revision of this standard.
In closing, Ms. Xu Linyihui expressed her hope that through this meeting, suggestions and opinions from all parties would be widely solicited, industry strength would be consolidated, and under the guidance of CESI, technology and experience would be distilled and compiled to form standardized specifications. The goal is to develop an authoritative and practical industry standard that truly reflects the consensus and needs of the industry. Success comes to those who persevere. Techsun is greatly honored and eagerly looks forward to joining hands with all the representatives present to co-create the future of the industry.
At the meeting, CESI, as the centralized authority for the standard, introduced the workflow and drafting requirements for standard development and revision. Techsun, as the lead organization for the standard, presented an overview of the company, the background of the standard, and the content of the draft standard. The attending experts and representatives then shared insights related to their respective research directions, enterprises, and product applications.
During the meeting, the technical content of the preliminarily refined draft standard was discussed in detail article by article. The attending representatives actively spoke up, engaged enthusiastically, and put forward numerous constructive and forward-looking opinions and suggestions, charting the direction for the further refinement and revision of the draft standard. The meeting also clarified the next steps for the work plan.
The “Application Guide for RFID Technology in Warehousing Operations” industry standard describes the structure of a warehousing application system based on radio frequency identification technology. It provides requirements for the selection and installation of RFID equipment, operational workflows for warehousing business, and security recommendations. The standard applies to the design, selection, installation, and acceptance of RFID technology systems used in warehousing, and is conducive to promoting the application and dissemination of RFID technology in the warehousing and logistics sector.
At the meeting, the attending representatives also exchanged views and discussed application cases and standardization needs for RFID in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, warehousing management, liquor anti-counterfeiting, tobacco traceability, tea traceability, archive management, apparel management, and electric bicycle management. They agreed to accelerate the advancement of the formulation of RFID application standards in these related fields.
